With the release of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro application interface «Camera» has been modified to free up space for various additional shooting options, appeared in new flagship models.
In addition to the main exclusive camera features, flagship smartphones also received shooting modes with different aspect ratios.
On earlier iPhone models, Appendix «Camera» offers only one shooting mode with aspect ratio 1:1, so-called «Square». It allows you to take pictures in Instagram format. It means, that users can choose other proportions after the fact, in application editing mode «Photo»,
However on the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max users when shooting in-app «Camera» can choose between three aspect ratio parameters: 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9.
How to choose camera aspect ratio on iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro
For, to go to different shooting modes, follow these steps:
- Run the application «Camera», touch it «chevron» (arrow buttons) at the top or side of the viewfinder when shooting in landscape orientation. This will open hidden settings.
- Button 4 will appear directly below or on the side of the viewfinder:3, which you must click.
- In the button that appears after clicking the expanded menu, select your preferred aspect ratio.
- Continue shooting.
note, that relations 1:1 and 16:9 are indestructible. In other words, you can crop them again in the edit window, if you later want to return to the standard frame format 4:3.
